A pub serving its community since the mid 1800s

Nerriga Hotel

Nerriga Hotel has been operating since the 1850s. First known as the Cricketer’s Arms Hotel, its name was later changed to the Commercial Hotel. In the days of the Old Wool Road, bullock teams would take rest at the hotel when carting wool to the Coast for shipping. The subsequent discovery of alluvial gold in the region resulted in increased activity in the area. Also known as the Bark Tree Hotel for a while it is now the Nerriga Hotel and its purpose remains the same as it has always been; a rest stop and information centre for travellers and a meeting place for residents.
